Join us for two days for talks on Tuesday and Wednesday from members of the NIH intramural science community. Tuesday's talks will be in Lipsett Amphitheater and will include the opening keynote "TED-style" lecture and mini-symposia from NIH Staff Clinicians and Staff Scientists. Wednesday brings three lectures in Masur Auditorium, including the Anita Roberts Lecture, the Victoria A. Harden Lecture in NIH History, and the G. Burroughs Mider Lecture.

The Office of NIH History and Museum seminar series highlights historical topics of interest to the NIH community. Events range from traditional lectures to conversations between those telling, and those making, history—with additional formats to be explored. The Harden Lecture is delivered annually by a scholar of note who speaks on a topic that spotlights NIH’s rich history.

Established in 1968 in honor of the first NIH director of laboratories and clinics, the G. Burroughs Mider Lecture is presented by an NIH intramural scientist to recognize and appreciate outstanding contributions to biomedical research.
