The Clinical Support Laboratory (CSL) is a CCR- funded lab that can also provide testing for other NCI divisions. The CSL is part of the Clinical Services Program at NCI-Frederick, and provides a broad range of specimen processing and laboratory testing support to intramural principal investigators. Services include clinical trial support for blood samples, and also immunobiological test services. All are accessible through the NCI at Frederick Laboratory’s Accessioning System (NAS) online or through Yellow Tasks to support preclinical and basic researchers. Besides processing clinical trial samples into isolated lymphocytes, plasma and serum, other sections of the lab perform analyses for research on human samples. Also, the laboratory is registered to perform regulated testing under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Main components of CSL services are: Clinical Trial Sample Processing, Biomarker Testing, Flow Cytometry, Cell Culture and Cell-Mediated Immunity & Cell-Based Assays.
