The NIA Nonhuman Primate Core program was established in 2012 to support the experimental goals of intramural investigators. We offer research services supporting multi-disciplinary translational aging projects aimed at exploring the physiological characteristics of aging in a primate model. In collaboration with investigators, we design experimental protocols, conduct primate studies, and collect and organize study data. Investigators using the NHP Core are provided with a broad range of services that meet the technical and scientific needs of their research and reduce the cost burden by sharing resources.
