This poster describes how one office in the Division of Clinical Research (DCR)in NIAID has tracked and analyzed data about response deadlines to build a performance picture about the receipt of, and response to, inquiries that come into DCR. The Liaison Office in DCR handles nearly 400 complex inquiries a year requiring document and policy review, and factual information-gathering from more than 40 subject matter experts in some 14 operational silos, followed by clearance from two levels of management. With the help of charts and graphs, we offer insights into the daily activities of the office, including the very tight deadlines that often accompany the inquiries we receive. We have gathered a body of data to illustrate patterns and trends over time and pin-point issues affecting optimal work-product response times.
