IMMUNO-14
Clinical samples often contain a wealth of information in a very small sample volume and at very low concentrations. The analysis of these samples must be rapid and highly sensitive. Our unit uses a variety of techniques to isolate, identify and quantitate proteins, cytokines, peptides, antibodies and other biological molecules of interest. MALDI-TOF imaging isolates and identifies proteins, peptides or lipids while providing spatial resolution. Using multiplex assays from Quansys, our unit has been able to rapidly analyze small sample volumes for numerous analytes with detection levels in the picogram range. Other methods, such as Biacore analysis and ICP-OES spectroscopy, enable us to provide more quantitative data including binding kinetics and quantitative measurements of trace metals. These powerful techniques allow for faster analysis of critical samples and ultimately lend themselves to comprehensive analysis of clinical samples.
