Abstract

The Laboratory Animal Sciences Program (LASP) at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research provides translational support through integrated services to assist in developing targeted cancer therapies. These integrated services include animal health monitoring, development and characterization of animal models, drug development (target Id and validation, toxicology, and efficacy) and support for patient molecular characterization. Core services and laboratories includes: Animal holding, Vet services, Receiving and Quarantine, Animal Health and Molecular Diagnostics, Animal Research Technical Support, Speed Congenics, Mouse Model Development, Cryopreservation, Pathology and Histotechnology, and In Vivo Small Animal Imaging.
