Abstract

There is a pressing need for skilled research associates in the field of flow cytometry which has been compounded over the past decade by the tremendous development in the complexity and sophistication of flow cytometric equipment, reagents, and techniques. We are developing a training program to prepare effective research support personnel based on the Technical Intramural Research Training Award (TechIRTA). We developed a training curriculum, selection criteria for the candidates, and awarded the first training position. This poster presents our findings 18 months into the process.
