Abstract

The NHLBI Mouse Phenotyping Core provides technical and scientific expertise for the phenotypic characterization of mouse models using specialized equipment and state of the art testing systems. The core specializes in the use, refinement, and development of protocols for the assessment of multiple physiologic and behavioral systems. Our goal is the provision of reliable methods, quality data and the fostering of a strong collaborative working relationship with NIH scientists. We offer a comprehensive battery of methods and equipment to conduct in depth assessment of the following areas in mice: Cardiovascular, metabolic, exercise, neuromuscular, behavioral, and pulmonary system characterization.
