The potential of applying nanotechnology in biomedicine has stimulated a lot of excitement in recent years. The purpose of this symposium is to present an update on some of the extramural and intramural efforts at the NIH in this area. Presentations will include updates on the NIH Nanomedicine Roadmap Initiative, the NCI Alliance for Cancer Nanotechnology, and two intramural laboratories.
