Systematic Analysis of Multi-factorial and Pleiotropic Patterns by Gene-set Enrichment Analysis through DPWEBPAGE System
 
It is commonly agree that most of the life phenotypes are contribute by the genome wide gene-gene interactions. Based on this observation, gene set enrichment analysis, which is rapidly query gene/protein level combinations and multi-factorial processes by include all of gene information from experimental targets, is widely adopted in various areas to investigate functional information through genome wide expression information, SNP allocation or proteomic results. DBWEBPAGE system (http://dpwebpage.nia.nih.gov/) is an online analysis tool that combines the data mining and data analysis function together to provide a global perspective of common diseases, mouse model phenotypes, chemical effects, micro-RNA target, and gene ontology, as well as pathway information through genome wide information analysis by using systematic extracted and classified literature information and public available database resources to form predefined group of related genes and storage these information in our relational database GAD (Gene Associated Database). These relationships are further curated and prove-read by expertise to format various kinds of gene set according to the research domains. These datasets are employed to produce functional level results of experimental data in fast speed by combine various kinds of high throughput experimental whole genome-wide information by means of statistical analysis algorithms by t-test after calculated the aggregation score for each studied target (pathway, disease, mouse model phenotype etc.) once correctly used. The results have been proved to describe the real phenotypes correctly by a large amount of experimental studies. The accuracy and precision have been proved through both large amount of real tests and advanced statistical approaches. Users use their custom designed dataset is allowed.
